A few weeks ago it developed a problem. With a light touch on the accelerator the car stuttered or hunted momentarily. I have a 64 plate Maxda 6 2.2 ltr diesel. A few weeks ago it developed a problem.. There just recently has been a recall on Mazda 6 2.2 Diesels for issues with carbon and soot build up within the engine, I had a similar.. Recall 2.2 diesel engine problems. I bought a Mazda 6 diesel automatic in May 2016 and have just put it in for a recall which is described in the letter "Recall - Diesel Engine Concerns". The receptionist said that they have not had any reports of problems with enginesof the year of manufacture of my car (2016) yet.
